Best years of our lives
So much has changed now they have taken bits out of the Victory. That big painting of Nelson's death... it's gone, the life size wax work of Nelson himself that is also gone 😣 even the mast with the cannon ball hole through it is gone!!
amazing ship !!!
A very inspirational man! Thank you for what you done and you held on to your life long enough to here the words that you won the battle of Trafalgar.
Thank you, I am honored.
To Lord Nelson... You shoulda ducked...🙂

Of course, you are very right. My blinkered vision indeed.Nevertheless, kind regards to a fellow Anglophile.
Yes, on the sea but the Napoleonic war was when the frenchies killed everyone and ruled Europe
mort aux angloix
beatifull ship.. its only a shame thats her stern isn't as decoritive as the Dutch ships of the line. but the where much older and shamefully there was no preservation of ships back then.

England Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty
Is dis still at the port?
After Nelson's defeat in Santa Cruz, this one they are the letters that were sent after the British capitulation:
Nelson's letter to Antonio Gutiérrez: Theseus, in the suburbs of Tenerife, on July 26, 1797 I cannot separate of this island without it gives to V.E. the most sincere graces for his thin attention for with me, and for the humanity who has demonstrated with our injured men that they were in his power, or under your care, ......
...and for the generosity that had with all those who landed, what I will not stop doing present to my Sovereign one, and I expect with the time to be able to assure V.E. personally all that I am of obedient humble V.E. servant Horace Nelson
Antonio Gutiérrez's answer to Nelson: Very my Gentleman, of my maior attention: Gladly is recivided the V.S.'s very valuable one effect of your generosity and good way of thinking, since of my part.....
I think that no laurel is deserved by the man who only expires with what the humanity dictates him, and to this there diminishing what I have done for with the injured men and for those that they landed, to whom devo of considering as brothers from the instant that finished the Combat. If in the condition to which he has led V.S. always uncertain luck of the War, I could, or some of the effects that this island produces,.....
..., him to be of some usefulness or relief, this one would be for me a real complacency, and I wait V.S. will admit a couple of limetones of wine, which I believe does not perform the worse thing that produces. will be of many satisfaction to treat personally when the circumstances allows it, to sugeto of so worthy and advisable articles(garments,securities) as manifest V.S.; And meanwhile I request God guard your life for lengths and happy years.
In the course of this battle Horace lose the arm, with quite these men they were demonstrating always entirety and honor ... they were other times, other soldiers, but especially they were other men.
watch?v=oMwMOheLw60&feature=related the song
did you know that the sailors drank the brandy that nelson was stored in. singing " a little of nelsons blood wont do any harm"
what is the name of that song?
@MrDeano324 My life is almost over already
@MrDeano324 I exercise alot.
I served on this ship from 1905 - 1907, a 2 year service, I am honored to see they still keep the ship free for all to visit.
HMS Victory... I'm quite glad they didn't scuttle her. Next to the USS Enterprise and the Bismark, she stands as one of the greatest ships of all time... And let's not forget her Commanding Officer, Lord Horatio Nelson, the finest admiral of all time... Served his country, Europa, and humanity well... What a man. Rule Britannia! Britannia Rule the Waves!!! From your son, The United States. With love. :)

I'm in the photo with Princess Margaret, 5th one in.
happy birthday nelson!!
This famous Battle-Blooded Falkland Veteran should be saved for the nation as a reminder of the brave souls who lost their lives in the frozen waters of the South Atlantic in 1982 and the Argie Surrender of South Georgia within it's wardroom.
@MrDeano324 This is possibly true.
Lord Horatio Viscount Nelson, the greatest man to have sailed the seas. we have a bronze statue of him erected here in Barbados West Indies apparently one of only 3 in the world. the other 2 are in Antigua in Nelsons Dockyard and the other in England. the one in Barbados being the biggest. Nelsons second home was Barbados and there he had a local girlfriend. the statue is very controversial here and only appreciated by the local British descendants and not by the slave descendants.
@howtogetwell Silence can be made, you have "mute" option. But i am agreed that on certain videos music is just annoying, like motosport events where noise of engines does give great addition for feeling.
He was possibly one of the greatest heros this country has ever or ever will see. He would be disgusted by the state of this country and the Navy now though. Rule Brittania
Thank you for posting this. It is a great ship. George Vreeland Hill
@WindyF126 Not a lot of piracy, uhm, privacy (yeah, I know, lame joke) on that toilet he?
Why must every video be accompanied by music? Is the mind so void of sensation that it must be continually pumped in? Please, some of us are annoyed by such dischord between visual and audio stimulous. Silence works far better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MsGhekko I have learned this week that he is related to me as well, we found a family tree at my grandparents house! Its pretty cool!
Nelson's toilet FTW.
